Her Stories will be heard. Literally.

We’re thrilled to announce that Her Place Women’s Museum has received funding from Creative Victoria’s Creative Projects Fund to add audio stories to our Digital Women’s Commemoration Map findingher.org.au.
With this support, we’ll be transforming our work on commemorating women into immersive audio experiences – bringing powerful stories of women’s contributions to life in new, accessible and deeply engaging ways.
Through interactive soundscapes and storytelling, this project will reimagine how the public connects with women’s history, inviting audiences to hear their names, feel their impact, and walk through spaces shaped by their legacies.
Backed by the Allan Labor Government, this funding is part of a $1.5M investment into 115 bold, boundary-pushing creative projects across the state – fueling Victoria’s vibrant $41B creative industries sector.
We’re proud to be among a cohort of trailblazing artists and organisations supported in this round…and even prouder to keep pushing forward gender equity in public memory and place.
Stay tuned as we develop this exciting new chapter at Her Place.
